The Human Resources Director, Global Technology is a trusted adviser and partner to senior leadership and their teams. This person will actively contribute to business strategy by providing human resource guidance which improves the quality of business decisions and drives business value. This role supports the VP, Global Technology and their teams. In addition, this role develops collaborative partnerships across Human Resources to deliver value-added systems, processes, and services to our workforce.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops strong partnerships and builds trust and credibility with senior executives and business leaders to provide thought leadership on people-related strategies, including talent management, performance management, employee engagement, and leader development. Partners with the business to determine the right organizational structure, skills, and capabilities required to deliver the strategy Collaborates with Human Resources colleagues on global project work to ensure development and execution of best-in-class processes on how we attract, hire, develop, and retain our talent. Serves as a consultant and coach on challenging employee relations issues while demonstrating strong and effective problem-solving capabilities for complex people issues. Leads by example, demonstrates integrity, and partners with leaders to set the tone for the culture required to create an engaging environment where employees can do their best work. Represents organization to ensure all investigations, inquiries, terminations for cause, and employee separations are completed respectfully and according to local laws and internal processes. Effectively analyzes data to ensure workforce is paid appropriately through annual merit process, hiring, transfers, promotions, etc. Serves as a transformational leader, driving innovation and creative problem solving. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

Experience in supporting a global organization of engineers and other technical roles. Role model leader (ethics, integrity, partnership, communication, and teamwork). Strong coach and mentor who gets personal fulfillment by contributing to the success of others. Team-first mindset: getting it done above getting the credit. Continuous improvement mindset: organization and self-development. Demonstrated respect and courage in addressing leadership-derailing behaviors and presenting alternate/opposing views and ideas. Impeccable judgment and ability to balance the needs of the company, managers, and employees. Exceptional communicator with clear, concise, and courageous style. Strong facilitation skills for leadership training, team building, and talent reviews. Experienced in facilitating change management within a rapid and complex work environment. Change leader who demonstrates resilience and positive attitude including when challenges occur. Fully knowledgeable about US employment law and familiar with international labor laws. Experience in the automotive or heavy manufacturing global industry. Strong analytical skills, proven track record of business partnership and solutions provider. Strong ability to collaborate across diverse teams, cultures, and all levels of the organization. Ability to set priorities, be proactive, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Strong project management skills on a global scale. Ability to influence executive leaders as well as partner with leaders and their teams at every level of the organization. 10+ years of experience in Human Resources; 3+ years partnering with C-Suite leaders.
