ACP is seeking a passionate school-based therapist fluent in Spanish to serve students in Dakota County. Your skill set and dedication offer students the right support at the right time, helping them flourish when they need it.

With 15+ years of experience delivering school-based therapy services, ACP is an established and respected agency with long-term partnerships in over 50 Dakota County schools.

All Voices Welcome: ACP is an AA/EOE employer; we encourage BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals to apply.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments and develop focused treatment plans in a fast-paced school setting. Provide individual and family therapy to students (ages 5-21) in Dakota County schools. Consult and collaborate with school staff as a mental health team member. Utilize evidence-based practices and creative interventions to address mental/behavioral health, chemical health, and academic success. Support students in developing resilience, emotional regulation, and coping skills. Opportunities for group work.

Requirements:

Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related clinical field and are on track to become an LMFT, LPCC, or LICSW. Strong clinical skills and a passion for working with youth and families. A desire for teaming. Strong communication skills. Mental stability and ability to model appropriate ethics and boundaries. Timely submission of documentation of services. Valid driver's license and auto insurance, plus a willingness to travel within the Twin Cities metro area.

Previous experience working with children and adolescents is preferred, but a genuine interest in learning and developing the skill is most important.

What We Value:

Critical thinking. Empathy and willingness to serve kids and their families. Diversity of experience, background, culture, and ideas.

Thorough Training

Our school-based programs are a safe place to learn and prepare for licensure while helping you develop skills to be a well-rounded therapist (e.g., practice management, real-life ethics, risk-regulatory-clinical, critical thinking, etc.)

To support your ongoing growth, we offer:

Mentor for shadowing and support (new providers only). Orientation process to provide effective learning & independence. Up to 8 hours/month (4 individual/dyad, 4 group) with board-approved, seasoned clinicians with years of experience doing community-based work. Free professional development CEUs. New provider cohort twice per month. Clinical 'drop-in' times available monthly with our leadership team. Opportunity to obtain experience in multiple services while on licensure track: therapy (in-home and school-based), ARMHS and CTSS, diagnostic assessments, and treatment planning. Relational hours toward licensure for Marriage and Family therapy applicants.

Benefits: As a school-based therapist, you're eligible for our comprehensive benefits package:

Emphasis on work-life balance with PTO and flexibility around your schedule. Reduced summer schedule with a consistent year-round salary. Potential to earn a yearly bonus based on billable hours. Phone, laptop, and laptop bag, with a Verizon employee discount. Continuing education incentives and employee engagement opportunities to foster professional growth, connections, and development, including free CEUs and education stipend opportunities. No-show reimbursement (per policy). Mileage reimbursement (per policy). Fun staff engagement events to enhance coworker relationships.

From Our Team:

"Working with clients in their schools allows me the wonderful opportunity to see clients in their day-to-day environment and collaborate with multiple caregivers and professionals to coordinate client's care and ensure therapy interventions are relevant and helpful in their daily lives." - Dana, LMFT with 2 years in the school-based division at ACP

As a school-based therapist, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference, supporting students' academic and social success. We invite you to apply and become a valuable member of ACP.
