VP of IT Data Warehouse

Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the VP of IT Data Warehouse manages the day-to-day support of the IT Data Warehouse Infrastructure which sources data from operational systems, transforms it and surfaces it in Data marts for consumption by business data analysts and end users. The VP of IT Data Warehouse lead the evaluation, selection and implementation of data warehouse technologies that meet the needs of the business.

This role will build and lead the team of IT professionals who get data from source to data mart where it can be consumed by reporting analysts and users.

VP of IT Data Warehouse

Job Duties:

Team management and hiring

Hire and retain talent internally and from 3rd party vendors who can support and maintain data sourcing, ingestion, ETL, architecture, and quality assurance functions

Data sourcing and warehousing

Understand the business use cases that will drive the ingestion of data from source systems and 3rd party sources into data warehouses.

Design the solution for data warehousing and select platforms/products that will most effectively support data warehousing use cases. Manage relationships with application vendors and implementation partners.

Oversee the development of a data architecture and ETL processes that will ingest data into data warehouses.

Works with business and application owners upstream to ensure quality of data brought into data warehouses

Creation of data marts

Understands the business use cases for consumable data stores that will support BI and analytics.

Designs the solution for consumable data marts and selects the platforms/products that will deliver data to users.

Oversees the team that architects, develops, and maintains ETL processes into consumable data marts.

Selects BI platforms for enterprise use and manages the relationship with platform vendors.

Works with business and analysts downstream to ensure the quality and accessibility of data published for use.

Marketing campaign list creation

Oversees the team that delivers data for the purposes of fulfilling marketing tactics

Data Science

Oversees the team that supports multivariate analysis across multiple lines of business, data science, predictive/prescriptive analytics, AI/ML applications

Collaboration

Delivers consumable data stores as prioritized by TMO

Works with IT Engineering to ensure efficient ingestion of data from source systems

Delivers marketing campaign data as prioritized by the heads of marketing

Education, Experience, and Training:

BS or BA degree preferably in the field of computer science, business, or sciences

MIS or MBA degree optional but, preferred

5+ Years of managing teams involved in data management, data science, IT or business analytics

Physical Conditions and Nature of Work

:

Employee is subject to inside environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions. Nature of work is primarily sedentary: walking (1-2 hours daily), standing (1 hour daily), and light lifting (0 - 15lbs); no environmental hazards indicated for this classification.

Expected Hours of Work:

The employee must be available during regular business hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, Monday - Friday unless otherwise specified by the Manager, Department head, or Human Resources.

Must be willing to submit to a criminal and Motor Vehicle background check

Must be willing to submit to E-Verify
