Senior SEO Specialist

Our full-service agency is growing and we're looking for an experienced Senior SEO Specialist to help drive results across our roster of clients. As an SEO Specialist, you will join an established team of SEO/SEM experts, designers, content creators, and developers who collaborate to ensure every client dominates in search results. This role requires a dynamic individual who lives at the intersection of SEO/SEM strategy & execution, thought leadership, and excels at the ability to distill this complex field into well-articulated briefs, conversations and presentations for clients and team members alike.
While this role is currently remote, we expect that this individual will work in-office at our San Francisco headquarters. At this time, we can only consider applicants with authorization to work in the United States on a permanent, full-time basis; unfortunately, we cannot provide visa sponsorship.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Work collaboratively across teams to help develop and implement both on-page and off-page SEO strategies for our roster of clients
Translate strategies into actionable projects in line with the agency calendar to ensure execution
Monitor and analyze projects to ensure project goals and deadlines are met
Maintain strong communication channels and feedback loops with the Account (Client) Management team
Distill complex SEO/SEM data and information into actionable reports for internal and external stakeholders, and present the data in a succinct and easy-to-understand manner
Assist to drive strategy and campaign management for Paid Search and Retargeting SEM efforts across all channels
Continue your SEO/SEM education, staying on top of changes in strategy and platforms
Prepare and present well thought out SEO/SEM strategies and results to both existing and prospective clients alike
Who You Are:
You have a degree in a relevant course of study (e.g. Computer Science, Web Development, Marketing, etc.)
You have significant experience in SEO strategy development and execution
A highly-motivated problem solver who loves to think critically and develop innovative solutions
A self-motivated, organized, and meticulously detail-oriented individual
You possess exemplary interpersonal and communication skills and have a demonstrated ability to present complex subject matter in a client-facing setting
Experience in SEO at scale in an agency setting is a huge plus
Experienced in writing and editing HTML and CSS, building and editing websites, and using content management systems (WordPress)
Familiarity with JavaScript (React, Gatsby) a big plus
Proficient in web development tools used for analysis and analyzing log files, user behavior, etc. for further SEO/SEM advantages (Google Analytics and other similar tools)
Experienced in utilizing tools such as Screaming Frog, OnCrawl, Botify, GSC, SEMRush, Moz, AHrefs, GA, Ads.google, Structured Data Testing Tool, Pagespeed Insights, GTMetrix, Rank Tracker, etc.
Fluent in structured data languages like schema.org and JSON-LD
Possess a rich understanding of Page Experience signals like Pagespeed and Core Web Vitals
Experience in optimizing rank for local queries in Google Maps
Experienced in setting up and managing paid search and retargeting campaigns
