Summary

Senior Benefits Analyst is responsible for supporting proper administration of Health & Welfare and retirement plans including 401(k) plans and non-qualified deferred compensation plans as well as other total rewards programs, conducts analyses and interprets program rules and policies so that benefit programs are administered effectively and in accordance with CDK's Total Rewards strategy. The role supports the study, design, and implementation of CDK's Health & Welfare and Retirement programs, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, Life, LTD, AD&D, and 401(k) and non-qualified deferred compensation plans to ensure that CDK's benefits are competitive, compliant, and engaging. Applies knowledge of employee benefits policy, processes, compliance requirements, and related knowledge and skill to analyze current benefit trends in addition to legislative requirements.

Position Responsibilities & Essential functions
  • Reporting & Analysis - create and analyze benefits reporting in Workday and benefit vendor systems to ensure accurate enrollment, billing, and timely, efficient processes. Maximize Workday reports, dashboards, and functionality to improve benefits insight, accuracy and enhance employee engagement.
  • Research and analyze benchmarking data against CDK data to assess areas for potential new plans/programs or changes to current plans/programs to better align with market.
  • Benefit plan compliance - ensure compliance with federal and state laws for all retirement and health and welfare plans. Assist in maintenance, updating and distribution of Summary Plan Descriptions and other plan documents and notices as required due to plan design or regulation changes.
  • Benefits Process Ownership - Coordinate key benefits processes including ACA reporting, 5500 data, CMS Rx reporting, invoicing and enrollment, annual enrollment testing.
  • Manage non-core benefit 3rd party vendors, including vendor system and call center compliance with benefit plan eligibility rules, monitoring of service, analyze utilization, and identifying opportunities for enhancing employee engagement.
  • Ownership of invoice process to ensure invoices are accurate and timely processed. Responsible for coordinating efforts of invoice support teams, benefits specialist, and collaborating with accounting and procurement to ensure timely payment and aligned with budget.
  • Coordinate Benefits webinars and other employee engagement and education sessions & create, post content to insure maximum employee engagement in rewards programs.
  • Assist in the planning, development and review of open enrollment communication materials and online decision support tools for employees to increase awareness and understanding of benefit offerings for active and leave of absence employees as well as COBRA participants.
Qualifications & Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years of benefit administration/consulting experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Benefit Plans, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, 401(k) and applicable regulations
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel
  • Experience with HRIS Systems (Workday, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and project management skills with attention to detail and a strong process orientation
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks without close supervision
  • Ability to adapt to change while consistently meeting deadlines
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use good judgment and discretion with highly confidential and sensitive personnel information

Salary Range: $85,000 to $110,000
