We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent attention to detail to join the Tumor Immunity Group within the Cancer Immunology Group as a scientist. Candidate will participate in pre-clinical drug discovery and development projects with a focus on Cancer Immunology. How You Will Achieve It Plan and execute mechanistic, PD, and biomarker studies for preclinical-stage therapies and ex vivo assays, including but not limited to multi-parameter flow cytometry, target expression analysis, and myeloid/NK cell based functional assays. Handling and differentiation of primary cells (NK cells, monocytes, macrophages) and established tumor cell lines. Accurately record experimental protocols/results in detail for use in technical reports. Present results within a multidisciplinary team environment. Qualifications Must Have BSc between 6 to 8 years of experience OR MSc with 4-to-6-year experience. Experience culturing primary cells and established tumor cell lines. Experience planning and executing functional immune assays. Experience using multi-color flow cytometry to immunophenotype murine and human cells from blood and tissues, measure analytes in serum, plasma, supernatant or cell lysates. Excellent organization and planning skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and as part of a team, good verbal and written communication, and strong motivation with dedicated work ethics. Nice To Have Experience assessing functionality of NK cells in vitro. Experience working in matrix teams of scientists to deliver defined objectives. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Lifting, sitting, standing, walking, bending, ability to perform mathematical calculations and ability to perform complex data analysis. Must be able to wear specialized protective clothing and PPE (e.g., lab coat, safety shoes, safety glasses).
