Role Summary

Role: Electrical Engineer, Low Voltage Systems

Location :

Sunnyvale, CA.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical engineer to join our dynamic startup in disrupting mobility and living space. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing low voltage electrical systems for our recreational vehicles. You will work cross-functionally with teams to ensure that our vehicles meet the requirements for electrical functionality, performance, safety, regulatory, and reliability. You will be the component expert for all hardware components in the low voltage system.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deliver low voltage electrical systems and architectures, including power distribution systems, wire harness design, body control systems, communications, and various electro-mechanical system control.

Implement and test CAN, LIN, and ethernet based topologies

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in defining and implementing requirements for reliable hardware diagnostics, controls, and recoverability.

Conduct testing & validation of components within the low voltage system and be the component expert for each ECU in the low voltage system

Ensure regulatory compliance with NFPA, DOT, and other regulatory bodies within the low voltage system

Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality, and service teams during production & mass deployment

Document and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICD) for all low voltage components

Work directly with our suppliers to drive design improvements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, automotive engineering, or related field

5+ Years of experience working in automotive low voltage systems. Bonus points for architecting and driving low voltage electrical architectures to production

Familiarity with Catia for reviewing component and harness packaging

Experience in working on electro-mechanical systems (DC/Stepper Motors, actuators, pumps, valves, etc)

Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)

Familiarity with Camera systems and camera connectivity

Familiarity with LED Lighting and controls

Experience in power distribution systems

Ability to drive solution trade studies and get cross-functional alignment on engineering solutions

Ability to travel internationally (
