Description

Quorum Hotels and Resorts is looking for a dynamic Corporate Director of Marketing to join the team in Plano, Texas

The Corporate Director of Marketing is responsible for operations within the company's marketing function. Works in conjunction with the Commercial Strategy team to ensure maximum yield is achieved for the portfolio.

Essential Requirements:
  • Develops and implements marketing plans and campaigns meant to promote the management company, and the hotel portfolio.
  • Understands industry and competitive trends and identifies and targets specific new or underserved markets.
  • Oversees the production of print, online, or other forms of advertisement, and organizes special events or promotions.
  • Manages marketing vendor performance and relationships.
  • Establishes metrics defining campaign performance; modifies campaigns based on ROI analysis.
  • Lead presentation of marketing effort on hotel owners' calls.
  • Ensure marketing spend achieves ROI and is in accordance with the hotel budget.
  • Ensure company brand standards are clearly communicated and maintained.
  • Lead branding effort across multiple disciplines such as HR, business development, operations, and sales.
  • Ensure all company PR efforts are strategically aligned, communicated, and scheduled.
  • Establishes a social media strategy and ensures regular production of content for the management company.
  • Attend team meetings and any other functions required by management.
  • Approach all encounters with guests, team members, and business partners in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • At least 5+ years progressive experience in a senior centralized corporate marketing leadership role.
  • Experience with major hotel brands - Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt and IHG preferred.
  • Experience working with digital media, design software, and managing PR, graphic design, and branding vendors.
  • Experience communicating results to ownership groups, including institutional owners.
  • Ability to work stressful situations while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, navigate challenging situations positively, and collaborate with others.
  • Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the needs of the situation.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised by supervisor, peers, team members, and guests.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly. Excellent communication/public speaking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with supervisor/owner/guests/team members.
  • Most have a valid driver's license.
