Pay Range: $85,000/yr - $110,000/yr. Exact compensation may very based on skills, experience, and location.

Who We Are Looking ForThe Buyer/Sr Buyer on the Strategic Sourcing team will play a key role to support Maesa brands on Product Launches to drive Growth & Profitability ambitions. We are looking for a candidate with a strong entrepreneurial mindset, who can collaborate with cross-functional partners to reach a common goal. The ideal candidate will be driven, highly organized, very analytical, efficient with data and with a proficiency for strong attention to detail who is very comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and passion for their job. This role reports to the Strategic Sourcing Director - Contract Manufacturing.

You WillPartner with cross-functional teams to flawlessly execute product launches.

  • Supplier selection and management - from pre-assessment to implementation (in alignment with strategic sourcing & cross functional leads).
  • Timely managed quoting process, providing most optimal possible costs first time.
  • Partner with technical packaging and supply chain teams to ensure proper design and servicing parameters are set-up / delivered.
  • Ensure proper implementation support, pro-activity addressing potential lead-time and capacity issues.
  • Track & report projects progress from an RFQ sourcing perspective inclusive of supplier scorecard rating.
  • Archive required e-mails/documentation (in compliance with corporate policies & procedures).
  • Analyze received offers from vendors at adequate detail (high Excel proficiency needed)
  • Document/Archive new SKU number(s) accompanied by all cost breakdown details.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for all brands on new product launches.
  • Lead/Co-Lead Value Creation discussions, driving gross margin improvement.
  • Participate in trend sessions with product management /marketing, supporting targeted innovation that takes in consideration supplier's capacities, capabilities, strengths and weaknesses.
  • Actively work on benchmark activities.
  • Prepare and present major sourcing related highlights, results and business needs to internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Roles and responsibilities could expand to other areas based on candidate's skill-level and performance.
Pricing for Replenishment and Launch SKUs
  • Validate all new/updated pricing with Strategic Sourcing Director(s)
Issues management and risk mitigation
  • Provide timely / actionable information for corrective actions to be taken where necessary with both the suppliers and stakeholders.
What We Are Looking ForRequired Qualifications & Background -

Bachelor's degree required in Finance/Engineering/Supply Chain or similar discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in Sourcing or other procurement related experience.
  • Beauty/CPG background
  • High degree of financial and analytical aptitude a must
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • Exceptionally strong Advanced Excel (a must) and MS office skills
    • Must know V/Xlookups, Pivots, SUMIFs.
    • Macros, Power Query and other scripting/coding would be a massive bonus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to handle various situations, multiple priorities, changing business needs as well as the diverse personalities within Maesa and the supplier community.
