RESPONSIBILITIES I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Medical Director, Lead Anesthesia Technician and Certified Anesthesia Monitoring Technicians, provides hemodynamic and physiological monitoring assistance during induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia. Performs first line maintenance on anesthesia equipment. II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Seeing, hearing, speaking, finger dexterity, standing, sitting, walking, stooping/bending, twisting body, lifting usual weight of 20 pounds up to 45 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 5 pounds of force with assistance, carrying usual weight up to 50 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions. Frequent: static gripping of an object for prolonged periods. Occasional: kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing stairs. III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. Exposure to body fluids, blood products and communicable diseases. IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field preferred. B. EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of procedures relating to sterile and aseptic techniques and infection control.
