POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the guidance of the Medical Director and experienced anesthesia personnel, the Anesthesia Monitoring Technician plays a crucial role in providing support during the phases of anesthesia. This includes assisting with hemodynamic and physiological monitoring throughout the induction, maintenance, and recovery stages of anesthesia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct first-line maintenance on anesthesia apparatus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


Essential physical activities include seeing, hearing, speaking, and manual dexterity. The role involves standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting weights typically ranging from 20 to 45 pounds. Additionally, pushing or pulling with assistance may be required, along with carrying weights up to 50 pounds and reaching at various levels.


FREQUENTLY REQUIRED:
  • Static gripping of objects for extended durations.

OCCASIONALLY REQUIRED:
  • Kneeling, crawling, squatting, and climbing stairs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Generally, the position is not subject to severe environmental conditions. However, exposure to bodily fluids, blood products, and infectious diseases is a possibility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A bachelor’s degree in biology or a related discipline is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
Familiarity with sterile and aseptic techniques, as well as infection control procedures, is essential. A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role, such as an Anesthesia Monitoring Technician or Anesthesia Supply Technician, is preferred.
