Description
Local Residential Home Builder is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator for our Dallas area office. This position is responsible for maintaining the credibility of the Purchase Order System and providing support for all Information Systems.
Job Responsibilities
Ensure that every division construction start has complete and accurate purchase orders
Administrate new subcontractor processing and execute system generated purchase orders
Enter and process new data into the system
Perform daily updates between systems
Review all master sets of Plans, Building Specifications, and Vendor Scopes of Work with Division Construction/Purchasing personnel
Assist Division personnel with system operating issues
Check and review system reports for accuracy
Provide additional support to the divisions as needed
Core Competencies/Required Skills and Abilities
Must be highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Ability to work independently and with a team
Possess good analytical skills
Ability to read and comprehend construction blueprints
Good technology skills and software knowledge including Microsoft Outlook (email), Microsoft Office, Brix, and Bluebeam
Experience with a residential purchasing database system
Required Experience/Education
2 years prior experience in residential single family home purchasing
Associate degree or equivalent work experience
