About this Opportunity:

Client is a global, commercial-stage ortho-biologics company that aspires to transform the standard of care for bone repair, healing bones faster and at higher rates, without compromising safety, so that patients can live their healthiest life. Bone grafts, including client's products, are used in over four million annual spine, orthopedics, trauma and interventional procedures world-wide. Client’s product is FDA PMA approved for cervical use in the United States. Client’s next-generation product is currently being evaluated in lumbar interbody fusion through ASPIRE, a pivotal FDA IDE study and has been granted a Breakthrough Device Designation by the FDA. Client is headquartered in Westminster, CO.

Job Summary: The Director of Biologic Market Development (BMD), is responsible for maintenance and growth in sales of Client's products. The Director Biologic Market Development will author and implement sales and organizational strategies in service of facilitating continuous training that elevates the commercial channel knowledge in achieving biomaterials sales growth.

This role will be focused on continuous education and development of the direct sales channel to increase market acumen and clinical competency. The Director of Biologic Market Development will be a field based subject matter expert in Client's and competitive products, stay up to date on market dynamics and collaborate in strategic targeting with the Direct Sales Channel and Distributor partners and additional Biomaterials Market Development team members. Additionally, the BMD will have an active role in sales presentations and educational programs for strategic accounts. The BMD is expected to develop strong working relationships with their Regional Managers and Direct/Distributor Consultants. Biologic Market Development team will provide feedback to all stakeholders in the development of appropriate supporting materials, case histories and clinical studies. The incumbent will have strong working relationships with Area Vice Presidents (AVP), and Consultants should generate respect and leadership towards key biomaterials business objectives.

Core Responsibilities:

Develop and execute Area strategic plans for the promotion of Client's products, and successful achievement of assigned area sales goals is expected. Identify strategies to position Client's products vs market competition leading to increased sales and market share. They participate in the continuous education of the sales force identifying training needs and marketing programs necessary to grow Client's product sales against increasing competitive pressure. Develop and deliver monthly reporting to Area Manager and Regional Managers, facilitate quarterly meetings with Regional Managers to discuss sales goals and strategies. The Director of Biomaterials Market Development will collaborate with Cient's Regional Managers and Direct Sales Consultants in the development of strategic sales targets and engagement strategies. The Director of Biomaterials Market Development is accountable to report monthly performance and activity, key trip reports, expense reports, new product opportunities and competitive information. As required, they interact directly with surgeon customers to communicate and/or monitor product performance. This individual must know and follow all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times. Diligently participate in our compliance program-related activities as denoted by your supervisor or our Chief Compliance Officer, and perform other special projects and functions as assigned by Client's management.

Qualifications & Education:

In depth knowledge of spine biologics and appropriate utilization A minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Business is required, while a Biotechnology degree or related healthcare industry is preferred. A minimum of three years of professional experience in medical device sales is required. Experience in a clinical or operating room environment is required. Demonstrated success in building and managing strong relationships with surgeons, OR staff, and hospital personnel is required. Candidate must possess excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, presentation and organizational skills. Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, self-motivated and service-oriented, demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, and motivated to travel. A demonstrated ability to quickly learn details of surgical products and associated procedures is required. This role requires travel up to 80% of the time.
