Member Service and Operations Associate

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), a non-profit women's membership organization located in Washington DC, has a full-time opportunity in their DAR Insignia Store. The DAR Insignia Store is an e-commerce retail operation with occasional pop-up shops, that sells jewelry- quality pins and related items to its members across multiple sales channels. Job Responsibilities Include:Accepts, processes, and fulfills member/customer orders from the online store, mail, phone, and other channels.Handles incoming calls to provide exceptional customer service to assist members with placing orders, determining order status or other issues.Travels to conferences to run temporary pop-up shops during conference season (5-6 months of the year). Travel will include weekends.Assists with inventory, from receiving to monitoring levels, and maintains a knowledge of materials and products.Coordinates order processing with in-house engraver and outside vendors.Packages orders and ships item.Other duties and special projects as assigned.Required Qualifications: Minimum two years of relevant experience in retail and/or e-commerce customer focused environment. Direct experience with POS systems and e-commerce platforms required.High school diploma.Experience in retail business inventory management and loss prevention practices.Experience in a customer order processing and fulfillment environment, packaging, shipping, and receiving.Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to respond to customer requests or questions.Strong computer skills with a good working knowledge of MS Office and spreadsheet software.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., with or without accommodations, for short periods of time.Ability to travel to attend and run pop-up shop sales events.
