Overview Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene's section of Emergency Medicine is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide diagnostic evaluation and management of acute medical complaints for children and adults, presenting to the Emergency Department. Primary responsibilities for all assigned patients include ordering diagnostic testing, obtaining consultations, performing simple procedures within the associate provider's scope of practice, prescribing medications, directing the administration of medications by nursing staff, and ensuring an appropriate disposition plan. Note that Physician Assistants provide all care under the oversight of their registered supervising physician. Responsibilities Qualifications Required Licensure/Certifications Requirements for Physician Assistants: Current (or eligible) certification to practice as a Physician's Assistant in the states of New Hampshire and Vermont. Academic preparation at the Master's level preferred. Requirements for Nurse Practitioners: RN and APRN currently (or eligible) licensed in New Hampshire and Vermont. Successful completion of an approved NP program. Master's level education required.
