Overview
We're recruiting for a management training role for someone interested in e-commerce merchandising and purchasing. You will learn the foundations of both retail and wholesale buying in a dynamic and fun environment. Over time, you will take on new responsibilities as you look to grow, build your skillset, and become a future leader in the company. The purchasing coordinator works collaboratively with our expert buyers and assists in the completion of all functions of the purchasing process. The coordinator will be preparing new products daily to launch on our D2C and B2B websites. They will assign product attributes, write product descriptions, download product images, as well as ensure items are properly categorized on our websites with the upkeep of category pages. Other duties include sending weekly purchase orders, confirming all product and purchase order information, facilitating changes and updates, and communicating with internal departments for any issues that arise.

A Day in the Life as a Purchasing Coordinator...
  • Creating spreadsheets to facilitate the importing of vendor item data and attributes.
  • Writing, proofreading, and fact-checking product copy, information, and images with an eye toward professionalism and establishing Entertainment Earth as a knowledge resource.
  • Preparing and monitoring launches of new items - including scheduling, auditing product pages to ensure accuracy and functionality, and communicating cross-functionally.
  • Communicating with vendors to confirm availability of products, verify purchase order information, obtain open ship reports, and update accurate product ETA dates.
  • Monitoring vendor discrepancy log and facilitating timely resolutions to hold vendors accountable to the routing guide and vendor setup guide.
  • Assist in daily purchasing duties as determined by the purchasing management team with the goal of keeping an organized and efficient department.
