firstPRO is hiring an IT Support Engineer for our client located in Fort Washington, PA. This is a direct hire opportunity and is 100% onsite during training and moves to 3 days onsite after ramp up period.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Efficiently manage the IT system infrastructure, overseeing all processes associated with these systems.
  • Offer hands-on support to IT systems, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, monitoring, and effective problem resolution for implementations.
  • Take charge of the ticketing system, actively participating in the resolution process.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server Databases.
  • Exhibit proficiency in LINUX/UNIX/APACHE/TOMCAT Environments.
  • Ability to work in cloud environments.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, contributing to overall team success.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to analyze problems and proactively remediate issues in both internal and customer IT environments.

Requirements

  • Possess a college degree in a computer or business-related field.
  • Bring a minimum of 3 years of System Admin experience to the role.
  • Have a solid background with 2+ years of experience in LINUX/UNIX/APACHE/TOMCAT environments.
  • Showcase knowledge of Oracle and/or SQL databases.
  • Familiarity with AWS and Azure Cloud Environments
  • Demonstrate familiarity with Helpdesk concepts and processes.
  • Be prepared to work flexible hours, including extended work schedules, meet tight deadlines, and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
