Patient Services Representative [Clinic]: We Care Daily ClinicsBase Pay Rate: $21-$23/hourLocation: N. SeattleAbout We Care Daily Clinics:We Care Daily Clinics (WCDC) is a warm, welcoming, and modern facility that provides treatment for addiction in a person-centered environment located in Auburn. WCDC seeks to renew hope and purpose for those battling opioid use by removing barriers, providing a holistic approach to recovery, and utilizing evidence-based treatment to restore healthy living. Our top priority is to provide the highest levels of patient-centered care to those we serve. WCDC is an Opioid Treatment Program facility using FDA approved medication paired with behavioral health counseling. Our individual service plans are built around patients in a supportive, safe environment to create a personalized pathway to recovery. In addition to recovery, we also offer planned patient transportation and family and social support.WCDC's first two mobile clinics launched October 2022 in Seattle and Tacoma. The mobile clinics offer the same evidence-based, quality treatment that is available at the Auburn clinic, including medication for opioid use disorder, behavioral health counseling, peer support, transportation, telehealth, and referral services. A third mobile unit will be launched later this year in the SODO district.Job Description:The Patient Services Representative (PSR) provides the first impression of the clinic to the public and is responsible for maintaining a welcoming and functioning front desk. Performs multiple office functions, including reception (greeting and welcoming clients and members of the public), answering multi-phone lines, medical record-keeping, computer-related tasks, and other administrative duties. The Patient Services Representative will report directly to the PSR Supervisor.The Patient Services Representative should adhere to and value the philosophical priorities of the HARM Reduction Model, that Medication Assisted Treatment is the preferred method of addressing opioid addiction, and that every patient deserves to be treated with respect, compassion, and dignity.Responsibilities:Greet clients, visitors, and vendorsAnswer phonesPage medical providers and counselorsFacilitate patient flowAnswer inquiries from patients and the publicConflict resolution with clientsMonitor patient behavior and activity; collaborate with the Safety Officer as neededRegular interaction with a wide variety of ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgroundsRegularly use the agency's electronic medical records system to schedule appointments, provide schedule reminders to patients, indicate patient attendanceCollect patient feesTake and upload patient photos into the electronic medical recordCopy forms and documents as neededRoute incoming mail and faxesMaintain the patient waiting areas to ensure cleanliness and adequate supply stockMaintain regular communication and attend meetings as requestedComplies with other ad hoc requests and projects as assignedKnowledge and compliance with HIPAA policies and proceduresInteracts with all staff in a positive and motivational fashion supporting the company's mission and Best Practice Patient ExperienceAvailable for coverage as needed during extended hours, including nights and weekendsOther duties as assignedPosition Requirements:Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or higher degree preferred.Experience:At least two years of experience in reception or a position providing customer service, preferably in a medical or mental health setting.Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job: A majority of the work shift is sitting at a desk in front of a computer. Will spend some time on feet while filing, making photocopies or standing to greet a visitor.
