Responsibilities: Reads, analyzes, and interprets bids and quotes, technical procedures, and governmental (federal, state, & local) documents and regulations Writes reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsEffectively communicates with multi-level personnel as well as vendors and their representativesCalculates figures and amounts such as material & labor and applicable discounts; interprets percentages, margins, and mark-upsReceives and logs bidsVerifies specifications or purchase requestsDetermines if we can respond to bidsCommunicates with vendor on bidsComputes pricing and pricing marginsPrepares bid summary for manager to review and approve prior to releasePrepares reports on bid responses. Preforms other related duties as required Requirements High school diploma or GED. 3-5 years of electrical estimating experience and knowledge of estimating software requiredSelf-motivated, goal-oriented quality driven, and capable of working without a lot of supervisionSafety, Lock-out/Tag-out, HAZMAT, Forklift, Electrostatic Discharge, Foreign Object Damage, and Quality System knowledgeNational Electrical Code (NEC) knowledgeAbility to read and/or understand electrical diagrams & blueprintsGood math skills, including basic algebraValid driver's license and good driving recordAbility to physically travel to jobsite to review projects before estimatingPreferred Qualifications:Associate or Bachelor Degree in a related field desired5 years of electrical construction or industrial construction experience Experience in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project Good attendance history
