Summary | ObjectiveThe Production Technician performing Dry Film Lube and/or Cerakote Painting executes work orders according to customer expectations while achieving required rates and maintaining safety standards.Key AccountabilitiesMeet or exceed organizational goals for safety, quality, cost and delivery To perform the highest level of quality painting to meet or exceed customer expectationsMeet or exceed expectations regarding the organization's attendance policy To work safe and report issues when identifiedKey Responsibilities Review work orders and paint specifications to ensure an awareness of job requirementsObtain and mix paint ingredients in accordance with manufacturer's specs to ensure paint is the proper consistency and viscosityAssist in managing paint inventory and tracking paint usageSet up and operate oven to cure parts after painting is completedTransport parts to be painted into the paint booth or prepping work area Inspect parts to be painted to ensure parts are clean and free of nonconformances Assemble and disassemble painting equipment to ensure proper care of equipment before and after jobs are completed Perform prep work associated with painting which may include racking, hanging, and masking of parts Spray units by hand to ensure proper paint applicationContinuously inspect parts to ensure proper coating application and make spray gun adjustments as neededMaintain paint booth by replacing filters and lights as neededOther duties as assigned, based on business needMust be able to work 7:00am-3:30pm Monday through Friday RequirementsQualities for SuccessDemonstrates Arrow Finishing Core ValuesHigh school diploma or GED equivalentMust be a Citizen of the United States of America or have a current Green CardGeneral knowledge or willingness to learn of DFL and/or Cerakote Experience as a painter/applicator in DFL, Cerakote, automotive and/or powder coatingStrong knowledge of racking material electrical current carrying capacityMust have great mechanical skills and attention to detailGeneral computer skills and the ability to work with basic computer programsAbility to balance workload effectively and stay organizedAbility to read and understand processes, procedures, and instructionsAbility to work and collaborate with others respectfully and professionallyAbility to be dependable and punctual, work overtime as neededMust be a highly motivated individual with the ability to work independentlyPhysical RequirementsLift up to 10 lbs. regularly and up to 30 lbs. on occasion Ability to use hands and arms requiring fine dexterity and precision through workdayStanding, sitting, walking, stooping, and bending for 8 hours as the position requiresAbility to withstand occasional odors The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.Work EnvironmentThis position location is on the production floor. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work near moving mechanical parts and could be exposed to chemical or electrical shock risk.
