Salary/Hourly Rate:

$70k - $90k plus Discretionary bonus

Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for handling full-cycle accounting duties, including preparing financial reports, maintaining general ledger accounts, and assisting with month-end close processes. This role requires a candidate with strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

  • The Staff Accountant will manage full-cycle accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • The Staff Accountant will assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities, providing timely and accurate financial data for decision-making.
  • Assist with audits and coordinate with external auditors as needed.
  • The Staff Accountant will ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
  • Participate in the preparation of tax filings and other regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a professional services environment (law firm experience is not required).
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
