The Team

The People team at Alloy embraces a progressive, people-first mindset to support our talented and fast paced team. We are currently a team of two and are looking to add a third person. The Role

As a People Operations Generalist based out of our Global HQ in Waltham you will be the face of the People function to the site. You are someone who enjoys enthusiastically solving employee issues and strives to create a welcoming and inclusive work environment. In addition to your core responsibilities, you will gain exposure to strategic People initiatives including annual benefits renewal, headcount planning, annual performance management, and more. As your master your core responsibilities stretch opportunities will include taking on Business Partnering responsibilities or taking on strategic components of the areas listed above.

How Youll Drive Impact

+ Problem-Solve: Find fast and realistic solutions to unforeseen issues - you like to find the root cause of the problem and solve for it instead of only looking at the surface level.

+ Deliver: in partnership with our other People team members, you will develop best-in-class processes, initiatives and strategies across the entire employee lifecycle.

+ Drive: have a role in shaping the culture at our site by driving forward initiatives including a calendar of happy hours, work anniversary celebrations, annual holiday events, and more

+ Partner: collaborate with team members and leaders across the company to ensure all Alloy employees have the tools and resources to be successful.

Principal Responsibilities

+ You will be the first point of contact for employee questions and requests, escalating as appropriate

+ You will own our HQ cultural initiatives and other events including a calendar and budget for happy hours, work anniversary celebrations, annual holiday events, and more

+ You will manage our onboarding program across sites - partner with managers to help create onboarding plans and first day schedules, leading new hire orientation, coordinate new hire safety trainings, verify I9s, analyze qualitative and quantitative data from our onboarding check ins and provide recommendations for improvement

+ You will support with recruiting coordination as needed

+ You will coordinate company and departmental initiatives, including managing the All Hands calendar, Open Enrollment info sessions, promotion review meetings,

+ You will assist with documenting, maintaining, communicating, and training people operations processes and programs

+ You will own our annual engagement survey, including system configuration, internal messaging, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data from our onboarding check ins and provide recommendations for improvement

+ You will own the seating chart and ensure desks are set up for all new hires

+ You will partner with operations teams to provide coverage for snack and office supply inventory levels and stocking and to coordinate onboarding (desk set up, key cards, etc.)

+ You will manage the offboarding process for employees across ensuring a smooth transition

+ You will bring an eye for continuous improvement to all People processes and programs and recommends changes or additions

+ You will support with systems administration and maintenance (JazzHR, Radford Aon, AccrueCMS, Lattice, and TriNet), ensuring data integrity and accuracy and support with pulling reports

Who you are

+ You have 3-4 years of experience in HR/People Operations

+ You have experience building, improving, or owning part of on onboarding workflow

+ You have experience working with at least one HRIS and one ATS and are a quick technical learner

+ You confidently engage with partners and stakeholders in ways that build trust, relationships, and rapport while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and judgment

+ You have a strong customer service mindset

+ You have a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and prioritize tasks effectively

+ You are self-motivated, resilient, and assertive with a high willingness to learn

+ You are super energetic with excellent communication (via phone, email, and in person) and interpersonal skills

+ You have a strong ability to be detail-oriented, work independently, and to be highly organized

+ You have a sense of humorthe ability to laugh at yourself is important especially in the world of People (HR)
