Job Summary:The Electrical Estimator is responsible for capturing labor and material costs to complete electrical system estimates for both our commercial and industrial customers. This role is the foundation for the success of our departments to capture the correct amount of profitable work by providing customers with the most accurate project cost as possible.Company Overview:For over 35 years, Moore's Electrical & Mechanical has been successfully partnering with customers throughout Virginia, North Carolina, and West Virginia. This sense of ownership and family atmosphere provides a tremendous impact on the high quality of work we deliver to our customers and the proactive safety culture at Moore's.Responsibilities:Estimate small to medium sized projects as determined by the Lead EstimatorComplete project take offs with a high level of attention to detailsReview application and project factors with Lead Estimator prior to bidProcure vendor and sub-contractor pricing as requiredDetermine and add general expenses to projectAssist in the Value Engineering process when necessaryAid in keeping the estimating software and databases currentKeep Lead Estimator updated of your work status on a weekly basisMay be called on to perfom Assistant Project Manager tasks Perform other related duties when requested by Department Manager and/or Lead EstimatorMinimum Requirements:High School Diploma or GEDAt least 2 years of industrial and/or commercial electrical system install experienceAbility to read construction documents including drawingsPrior electrical estimating experience preferred but not requiredAccubid experience preferred but not requiredAbove average computer skills with the ability to learn new software efficientlyAbove average conceptual ability while maintaining a high level of attention to detailPossess excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently with a teamwork mentalityCompany Benefits:Health, Dental, & Vision Insurance Coverage begins on the first calendar day of the month following date of hire.
