**Job Description:**
The Lead Wire Desk & Branch Administration Support is responsible for supporting the Wire Desk team, through daily operations and training. This position will ensure all compliance regulations are met and aid in training staff for process improvement.
**Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:**
* Supports the branch administration and daily functions of the Wire Desk staff to ensure compliance with Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and to maximize operational efficiencies and operational excellence.
* Supports the Wire Desk Manager on Training efforts for Wire Desk New Hires.
* Proactively creates SOPs and/or training materials, as needs are identified.
* Completion of all wire transfer complete requests in Wire Desk ticketing system, to ensure timely response.
* Responsible for all incoming and outgoing domestic and international wires to include drawdowns, service messages, returns, recalls and exceptions and handling any escalations from staff.
* Responsible for quality assurance and document retention for Wire Desk.
* Recognizes trends, or areas for improvement and efficiencies, and creates process improvement requests, as needed.
* Ensures procedures are maintained and kept current for Wire Desk and related activities.
* Facilitates and/or coordinates all wire platform user training.
* Provides lead support, assistance, and backup for Branch Support functions when Manager is out of the office.
* Responsible for receiving and processing legal process documents served to the Wire Desk including subpoenas, indemnity agreements and supporting wire documents.
* Keeps current with, supports and complies with all bank and regulation policies, procedures and/or guidelines.
* Provides Wire Desk support and document research to internal and external auditors and examiners.
* Provides support to the core platform and issue resolution as related to Wire Desk.
* Meets established department goals with minimal supervision; updates manager on all major projects, employee issues and goal progress relating to Wire Desk.
* Partners with other Operations Leads and Managers to continuously drive efficient processes and add value to our business partners and customers.
* Participates in special projects and assignments and performs other duties as assigned.
**Education and Experience:**
* Minimum of five years of wire desk, branch and/or deposit operations experience, or relevant work experience in the financial services industry.
* Knowledge of State and Federal regulations affecting wires and deposit accounts.
* Knowledge of Jack Henry product suites preferred.
**Key Competencies:**
* Must possess accurate typing, spelling, and grammar skills as well as superior written and oral communication skills.
* Must possess the ability to set priorities, manage tasks and meet deadlines.
* Must be willing and capable of defining problems and taking initiative to propose practical solutions.
* Some travel may be required on an as needed basis to attend trainings, conferences, and/or between bank locations.
