Job Overview:

AZ Grading & Underground LLC is seeking a hands-on Working Foreman with extensive experience in commercial tenant improvements, remodels, and general construction. This role involves leading crews on-site, managing daily operations, and ensuring the successful completion of projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate crews of 5-10 workers, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • On-Site Management: Oversee day-to-day operations on commercial tenant improvement and remodel projects.
  • Hands-On Work: Perform and assist with tasks such as framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and finish work when needed.
  • Project Oversight: Ensure all work is completed to code, meets safety standards, and aligns with project specifications.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact on-site for clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Scheduling: Coordinate daily work schedules and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Material Management: Conduct material take-offs, order supplies, and manage site inventory efficiently.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve on-site issues to avoid project delays.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members follow OSHA regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in construction, with 2+ years in a foreman or supervisory role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of commercial tenant improvements, remodels, and construction processes.
    • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, framing, and general construction practices.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate crews.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with tools, equipment, and construction technology (e.g., tablets, project management software).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in outdoor environments, and perform hands-on labor as needed.
  • Licenses: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
