As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for handling a book of our most treasured and complex clients - you will act as their Guide in their mission to steward their finances well.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCE AREAS

Research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.

Prepare financial reports and build custom reports as needed.

Work with multiple bookkeeping programs and other applications.

Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.

Integrate as the accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company and its clients.

Maintain client bookkeeping on a weekly basis, categorizing transactions to keep up-to-date financial data.

Run payroll on a weekly/bi-weekly/monthly basis for clients.

Follow all client processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Assist with implementing new processes to make our office and our clients’ systems as efficient and accurate as possible.

Meet with clients to address areas of concern/areas of growth and address trends in financial data on a regular basis.

Provide coaching and insight into future spending by looking at financial performance.

Completion of monthly/quarterly/annually reconciliation of clients’ accounts.

Take on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Strong leadership skills with a forward-thinking approach.

Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficient in accounting software (QBO required), Microsoft Office applications, Google G-Suite, and CRM systems.

Apple/Mac experience preferred

Strong organization and time management skills

Ability to learn and adapt to new technology and applications

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

Proficient-to-Advancedknowledge of QuickBooks Online

CPA is a plus

Minimum of 5years of accounting experience

Tax Preparation experience is a plus

Church accounting experience

Satisfactory background check at the time of hire

Experience in ProConnect is a plus

Job Type:

Full-Time (35hrs/week) Compensation:

Base Salary (with built-in raises at 6 and 12 months)
