**Assistant Service Manager**

**JOB DESCRIPTION:**

**SINCLAIR TRACTOR** is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, organized and very detail-oriented individual to the Bloomfield, IA office location as ***Assistant Service Manager*** with the primary responsibility of assisting the Service Manager and Service staff to facilitate and deliver excellent service and exceed expectations. This position will perform a range of administrative and support duties related to daily operations of the Bloomfield Service Department.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO** (you may request further detail):

* Opens work orders as directed by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman and maintains control until they are closed and invoiced.

* Reviews work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to invoicing.

* Ensure timely and accurate work order transaction coordination between sales and customers.

* Maintains service department filings and records and service library with current information (for example, files bulletins, manuals, multi-media, etc.) under teh direct supervision of the Service Manager.

* Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work order.

* Maintains service accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders.

* Customer service and interaction via phone and in person.

* Advises Service Manager of all customer complaints.

* Anticipate Service Manager's needs and handle them proactively.

* May prepare Service Technician labor performance, productivity, and efficiency reports.

* May participate in Service EDUCATE Training Programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.

* May assist Service Manager in coordinating and scheduling all in-house technician training.

* Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.

* Assist Service Manager with coordinating and conducting safety meetings.

* Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.

* Maintains knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.

* Facilitates and Performs Parts to Shop Job Tasks at location.

* Leads Service Department in Service Manager's absence.

* Maintains and organizes Special Tools inventory.

* Assists with the assignments of jobs and work areas to Service Department employees according to their skills and knowledge.

* May complete post service work inspection checklist and approve the release of equipment for delivery to customer.

* May assist in providing performance feedback for service technicians and staff to the Service Manager.

* This position may require traveling between branch locations when needed for corporate meetings and training.

**COMPENSATION AND HOURS**

* Starting salary dependent on experience room for growth and opportunity

* Full-time (Hours vary based on season)
