The Opportunity

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with a passion for numbers and a knack for problem-solving? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic Accounting team as an Accountant.

As an Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting our Accounting team with various essential functions, including generating monthly financials, handling month-end close duties, and participating in mid-month accounting activities. Your expertise will help ensure that all accounting tasks are performed accurately and on time, following established procedures.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, and analyze and report on monthly budget variances.
  • Participate in month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and completing other accounting tasks promptly.
  • Monitor, analyze, and reconcile fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accounts receivables, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Utilize business intelligence software to evaluate trends and present recommendations for business improvement.
  • Analyze and process carrier premium payments.
  • Prepare miscellaneous invoices, review accounts receivable aging schedules, and follow up as necessary.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Provide accounting support for mergers, acquisitions, and new ventures.
  • Maintain M3 Finance procedural documents as needed.
  • Take on special projects and requests as needed.
What You Will Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2 - 5 years of progressive work experience in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, with experience in ERP systems (Applied Epic) and business intelligence tools (Qlik) being a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a thorough understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills, capable of prioritizing and organizing multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo, identify inefficiencies, and suggest improvements to financial and accounting processes.
