Weiner & Associates, Staff Counsel for State Farm Insurance in Glendale, California, is seeking an experienced trial attorney with 15+ years of civil litigation experience. The candidate must have strong deposition skills, a desire to handle trials, and leadership potential. Insurance defense background is a plus. Candidates must be able to handle a caseload of approximately 40-50 files. Excellent academic credentials, written and oral advocacy skills, and proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Westlaw are required. Responsibilities: Trial experience required 15+ years of personal injury experience, handling cases from inception to conclusion with an emphasis on auto cases Full file responsibility Handle an inventory of 40-50 files Knowledge of local and state discovery rules, trial procedures, and applicable substantive law commensurate with level of experience Present and cross-examine lay and expert witnesses Direct support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling Work in a paperless electronic environment Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation Preferred qualification - Insurance defense background Minimum Requirements: Must have a law degree and excellent academic credentials Must have an active law license to practice in California and be a member in good standing with the State Bar of California Potential salary range: $132,000.00 to $220,000.00 Potential yearly incentive pay up to 16% of base salary For Los Angeles candidates: Pursuant to the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories.
