Sterile Processing Technician

Job DescriptionThe Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the proper handling, cleaning, disinfecting, sterilization and assembly of instrumentation and patient-related equipment to render them safe for handling and use; monitor, order and stock supplies for the department; complete regular cleaning of the sterile processing and supply areas; and to perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications: High school education or equivalent Graduate of an accredited Sterilization Tech program. Must have one of the following: Current CSPDT from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution or obtained within one year from hire date Current CRCST from the International Association of Healthcare Service Material Management or obtained within one year from hire date.
