Job Summary

The Financial Reporting Analyst reports to APG's Reporting Manager and has the primary responsibility of supporting both internal and external financial reporting and operational finance functions. APG's Financial Reporting team is responsible for the consolidation of its operating companies and monthly reporting package to senior leadership, as well as quarterly US GAAP & IFRS to our parent company, CRH. A successful candidate for this role is a strong collaborator and communicator with a process improvement mindset, as well as deadline and results driven. There are ample opportunities for growth and exposure in this role.

Job Responsiblities

The APG reporting and financial system landscape continues to transform as we upgrade systems and tools and look for efficiency in our reporting processes. The reporting team collaborates with our financial systems team in terms of maintaining system mapping and creation of new financial dimensions to support reporting. There is also a great deal of communication and coordination with our lease accounting team and our operating companies when it comes to disclosures and roll forward data.

  • Create monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on APG's financial and operational performance
  • Perform multiple reconciliations of data from system to system via SmartView pulls
  • Research and resolve data load errors
  • Prepare quarterly US GAAP and IFRS reporting to parent company and related disclosures and support schedules
  • Analyze and explain variances based on trends year over year
  • Design and drive the implementation of processes and procedures to streamline and improve the existing reporting process
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong understanding of financial statements
  • CPA preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with reporting and/or financial systems preferred
  • Preferred experience in M3, d/EPM, EPM, HFM or other consolidation tools and processes
