This role plays a crucial part in collaborating with the Controller to support the company's financial goals and objectives. This is an office-based position located at our headquarters in Santa Barbara, CA. Roles and Responsibilities: Manage the month-end closing process, including reviewing reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements Oversee banking activities, including account reconciliations and cash management Supervise the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments Maintain general ledger accuracy and review account reconciliations Oversee the customer billing process for completed jobs, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing Review customer billing tasks and support project billing as needed Review and approve payroll calculations, deductions, and related reporting for accuracy and compliance Ensure timely processing of payroll and record related journal entries Review and ensure accurate reporting of sales tax and other tax obligations Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management roles Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial reporting standards, and payroll regulations Proficiency in NetSuite desired Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Location: This position is based at our headquarters in Santa Barbara, CA.
