POSITION SUMMARY:

The Loan Servicing Specialist handles sophisticated functions that have reputation, regulatory and monitory risk. The individual holding this position is expected to be a subject matter expert of Residential Loan Operations and therefore act as a resource to other employees of the bank. The position supports the needs of all residential loan servicing from set-up to payoff, which includes complex loan types. Some functions are time sensitive and must be completed with specific guidelines. Individuals are expected to be able to think independently and work through routine problems solving them with little or no supervisory input. Escalation is required for problems that could have broad customer or regulatory impact. Monitory risk related issues, where there could be the expectation of a loss to the bank should be escalated. Cross training on all department functions is also part of this role. Individuals holding this position are expected to be polite, helpful and adhere to all bank policies. 

REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education and/or Experience):

  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent Loan/Banking experience
  • Must have at least three (3) years of banking experience
  • Prior experience in Residential Loan/Operations and/or banking operational environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word programs 
  • Must have excellent organizational skills
  • Must be detail oriented and ability to multitask
  • Must be self-directed and a self-starter
