About the Role: Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Event Manager for a contract position, paying $46 per hour. This position requires full-time presence at their San Francisco, CA location. The role is temporary, running until March 1 2025

Top Skills: 10+ years of experience in event planning, preferably for financial firms. Proactive and ready to jump into the role. Strong ability to speak to leadership teams, strategize, manage event budgets, and logistics. Ready to lead smaller-scale events. Open to learning and adapting.

Disqualifiers: This is not a managerial role; candidates must demonstrate the ability to be part of a team and take directions when needed.

Key Responsibilities: Simultaneously manage & execute multiple events of varying sizes. Excellent project management and coordinating skills are essential. Define, conceptualize, and execute successful events. Manage and track event marketing budgets with a strong focus on ROI. Develop solid relationships with top industry organizations to secure sponsorships and speaking engagements. Act as a consultant and liaison to Marketing and Sales divisions on event strategy, budget, and execution. Perform post-event tracking and ROI analysis to measure marketing initiatives and improve future performance.

Event Planning Responsibilities: Understand business objectives and develop an event strategy that supports business goals. Create high-touch events consistent with the client's brand standards. Manage events from start to finish, including maintaining event calendars and budgets, negotiating with vendors, processing invoices, and producing event materials. Emphasize data management, including RSVP tracking pre and post event and ROI analysis. Think strategically with the ability to problem-solve and offer creative solutions. Stay well-versed in local area venues and keep abreast of new developments. Liaise with other lines of business to leverage and consolidate ideas, shared resources, and cross-sell event opportunities. Participate in weekly regional team meetings, lead budget calls, and multiple banker meetings providing event updates. Multi-task and work under tight deadlines. Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills. Liaise effectively with senior leadership. Work late hours and travel as needed. Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. A minimum of 10 years of experience in event management related activities. Prior experience in financial services is a plus.

Contract Details: Hourly rate of $46. 6 month contract with full benefits 100% in-office presence required.
