Position Purpose:Responsible for the daily, weekly and monthly work schedules for the nursing staff in accordance with all laws, regulations and company standards.Essential Job Functions:This facility expects their employees to promote an atmosphere of teamwork with other employees and hospitality and comfort for its residents. Therefore, the following list of duties is not all-inclusive:Staffs the facility at levels determined by the Director of NursingUtilizes overtime and agency only when approved by Director of NursingPrepares nursing schedules and modifies as neededDistributes revised schedules to appropriate employees and posts at designated areasProcesses requests for shift changesMaintains nursing assistant sign in sheets on a daily basisDistributes the next day's assignment before the end of the shiftMaintains attendance and tardy records for all nursing staffReviews time sheets/punch detail records each pay periodMakes necessary corrections to timesheets, with Director of Nursing approval, and returns to payroll clerkNotify Director of Nursing of trends in time-clock punches (early/late)Maintains current nursing roster with current home and cell numbers, if applicableMaintain current certification and licenses for nursing staff (if the facility does not employ a Staff Development Coordinator)Maintain in-service log for all nursing staff (if the facility does not employ a Staff Development Coordinator)Attend in-service education programs in order to meet facility educational requirementsBe familiar with Standard Precautions, Exposure Control Plan, Fire Drill and Evacuation Procedures and know how to use the informationMaintain confidentiality of resident and facility records/informationProtect residents from neglect, mistreatment, and abuseProtect the personal property of the residents of the facilityOthers as directed by the supervisor or administratorMinimum Qualifications:Registered Nurse with valid license in this stateOrganized and detailed in work performanceGood communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patienceGenuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facilityComply with the Residents' Rights and Facility Policies and ProceduresPerform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined belowPerform Essential Duties as outlined aboveWorking Conditions:Works in an office area as well as throughout the facilityMoves intermittently during work hoursIs subject to frequent interruptionsShift Needed: Evening and NightsTHE FOLLOWING BENEFITS ARE AVAILABLE FOR FULL-TIME POSITIONS ONLYMedical Plan: Major Medical Insurance with HSA plan and prescription coverageDental Plan: Met Life Voluntary Dental Plan (various levels of coverage available)Vision Plan: Met Life VSP Network (various levels of coverage available)Health Savings Account (HSA)Paid Bereavement LeaveCompany Paid Life Insurance (Voluntary Supplemental Term life is offered and available through Lincoln Financial Group)Voluntary Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance is available through Lincoln Financial GroupPaid-time-off (to be used for vacation, holiday, illness, etc.)
