Job DetailsJob LocationINSURICA Express - NORMAN, OKPosition TypeFull TimeEducation Level2 Year DegreeJob ShiftDayJob Category Contractor Sales SupportDescriptionSUMMARY:The Express Assistant Account Manager is responsible for assisting other members of the department with meeting the service needs of customers and performing essential functions including, but not limited to, processing changes, rating, making calls, and assuring correct information is input into the agency management system, to achieve the quality and service standards developed by the agency.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Provide prompt, courteous, knowledgeable service to customers and prospectsAccurately process endorsements, certificates, and invoice all transactions as per instructions from Account Manager; process change confirmationsAssist the department in processing new and renewal business, as requested, through application assembly, setting up files, assembling proposals, etc, in accordance with Agency standardsInvoice assigned commercial premium transactions following agency procedures and guidelinesProcess confirmed cancellationsMaintain working knowledge of all company change proceduresEffectively support the department with computer and word processing skills, including rating programs in the agency management systemMaintain client files within the agency management systemReview all activities relating to the public, customers, and companies to avoid issues involving potential errors and omissionsParticipate in seminars and other training to maintain required licenses and for knowledge and skill development ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:This job description is intended to describe the level of work required of the person performing the position. Specific performance objectives may be developed each year to measure the performance of the tasks and functions listed in this job description.QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Ability to obtain a thorough understanding of commercial underwriting and coverage and interpret abstract dataIntermediate PC skills, with a focus on the Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and the ability to effectively utilize the agency's management systemsAbility to work within a fast-paced, changing priority environmentSelf-motivated, with the initiative to prioritize and be self-directed Regular and punctual attendance is requiredAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally, and in writingExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both colleagues, and managers, across all levelsAbility to promote, and maintain a team environment, willing to find accommodating solutions for our customers, companies, and the AgencyAbility to successfully adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as maintain strict confidentialityQUALIFICATIONS:1-3 Years previous commercial lines insurance experience preferred1-3 Years of direct phone customer service experience preferredPossession of, or the ability to quickly obtain, all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance requiredCISR designation preferredAssociate degree preferredWORKING CONDITIONS AND REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS:Fast-paced, multi-tasking, office environment with periodic high disruption and changing prioritiesAbility to perform approximately 80% sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and negligible force frequentlyAbility to lift up to 20 pounds occasionallyRequires operation of a computer workstation, including keyboard and video display All requirements may be modified to reasonably accommodate physical or mental impairment
