A leading provider of Cloud Security and Identity Governance Solutions is looking for a JAVA Microservices Architect to join their engineering organization. Primarily, this person will be supporting one of the company's main platforms around IGA, IAM, and PAM products. They will be building new features and customizations, and modernizing the back end of the platform from Groovy to JAVA Microservices and Springboot. The individual will troubleshoot bug fixes or issues, work closely with customers or internal team members on requirements and analysis, and impact the path forward for the software product. This role is contract-to-hire, ideally looking for candidates in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or other West Coast locations. Minimum Requirements: 5+ years with Java and Springboot, building microservices from scratch, developing, and coding backend Ability to provide architecture and designs, as well as be hands-on in code development Experience with software customizations and tech stack modernizations Experience building Java REST APIs Experience building software within a cloud-based environment, ideally AWS or Azure Experience with MYSQL, Postgres, or SQL (databases) Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for deployment Functional and system integration testing Experience in an Agile environment Experience working in a smaller environment, ideally startup, with exposure to a variety of challenges, ability to think creatively, and learn new things Benefits: - Benefit packages start on the 31st day of employment - Medical, dental, and vision insurance - HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options - 401k retirement account access with employer matching - Paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by law
