The Director of Business Admin Operations reports to the Senior Director of Financial Operations, with a strong relationship to Payroll, Treasury, Community Accounting, Regional HR, Corporate Operations as well as the DBA and Executive Director in each community being supported. The Business Admin Partner(s) and DBA Specialist(s) report to the Director of Business Admin Operations.

PURPOSE

The Director of Business Admin Operations is responsible for providing oversight of the Business Admin Partner and DBA Specialist roles. The department provides support for the business office functions within a Community to the Executive Directors (ED) and Directors of Business Administration (DBA). The Director of Business Admin Operations is responsible for innovating and implementing processes and procedures to enhance the development of talent and systems. This role requires periodic travel within the region, as well as to the Home Office for trainings and meetings.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage DBA vacancy coverage and DBA onboarding schedules with Business Admin Partners and DBA Specialists
  • Develop process improvements to ensure uniform trainings are occurring throughout all communities/regions. This includes managing changes within the DBA On-Boarding binder.
  • Conduct periodic financial/operations Community audits
  • Coordinate with Community Accounting on community training opportunities, system changes and process improvements
  • Coordinate with HR on payroll, scheduling, and timekeeping system changes and process improvements
  • Review financial transactions, sales contracts, and business practices. Offer insight and suggest ways to improve business office controls and revenue growth opportunities
  • Develop and maintain documentation on systems and processes to be used for associate training
  • Ensure Sysaid request tickets submitted to the team are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Have a working knowledge of BSL affordable housing and subsidy programs and ensure all reporting deadlines are met



COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Demonstrates proficiency in:
    • Microsoft Office
    • Yardi
    • UKG Pro/ Kronos
    • Recruiting and screening tools (ATS)/e-learning

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE- CERTIFICATICATION

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; Master's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years progressive revenue cycle experience
  • Management experience of a remote or multi-site team preferred
  • Prior experience as a single site Director of Business Administration (DBA) preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as familiarity with the Internet and its search tools
  • Proven multi-tasking capabilities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of payroll systems
  • Knowledge of basic GL, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable systems
  • Knowledge of office equipment and ability to trouble shoot problems
