The Director of Operations plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of a specific LSG Sky Chefs facility. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the production process, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality, and driving continuous improvement in efficiency and profitability. Main Accountabilities

Overall Operational Leadership:

Provide strategic direction and oversight for all operational activities within the facility, including production, logistics, quality control, and sanitation. Develop and implement operational plans and procedures to ensure efficient and effective workflow. Lead and motivate a team of department heads and supervisors, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Production & Quality:

Ensure strict adherence to all food safety and quality standards, including HACCP protocols and company guidelines. Oversee the production of all food items, including hot and cold meals, snacks, and beverages. Implement and maintain a robust quality control program to guarantee product consistency and customer satisfaction. Identify and address any production issues promptly and effectively.

Logistics & Inventory Management:

Develop and manage efficient logistics plans to ensure timely delivery of meals to airlines. Optimize inventory levels to minimize waste and prevent shortages. Implement cost-saving measures and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Team Management & Development:

Build and maintain a high-performing team by providing clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback. Foster a positive and safe work environment for all employees. Identify and develop talent within the team for career advancement opportunities.

Budget & Financial Management:

Manage and control the facility's budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control. Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability. Monitor and report on key financial metrics to senior management.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Food Science, Culinary Arts, or a related field, preferably with an MBA. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a leadership role within a food production or catering environment. Proven track record of success in managing and optimizing operational processes. Strong understanding of food safety and quality control principles (HACCP). Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
