Accounting Manager

CFS is working with a local employer seeking an Accounting Manager to manage the financial statement close and audit process. This company is well known in their field and distributes premium products to their customers.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee account reconciliations and ensure accurate adjusting entries.
  • Complete the monthly close process.
  • Manage sales tax reconciliation and filings, including setting up new accounts as needed.
  • Develop and manage cash forecasts to support financial planning.
  • Assist with bank audits and year-end audit support.

In addition to the above, you will also:

  • Supervise and oversee all aspects of accounts receivable, including collections, reconciliations, customer setup, third-party AR insurance reporting, invoice processing, and applying payments.
  • Manage accounts payable functions, such as invoice and payment processing, vendor setup, and 1099 reporting.
  • Oversee payroll and benefits administration, including employee setup, pay-period processing, and benefits management.

To be successful, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A meticulous eye for detail with the ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • An outgoing personality with a proactive approach.
  • Reliability, friendliness, and a conscientious work ethic.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred.
  • 10+ years of accounting experience.
  • ERP software experience, Microsoft Great Plains is a plus.
