Facility: Morton Plant Hospital - PATHOLOGY

Location: Clearwater, FL

Status: PRN

Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 10:00AM - 4:00PM

Weekend Work: Occasional

On Call: No

Responsibilities:

The Lab Medical Assistant IV is responsible for:

  • Assists the technical staff within the technical departments
  • Handles any and all manual pretesting procedures including waived testing as required
  • Works in a team environment
  • Demonstrates organizational, time management, analytical, delegation, written, and verbal skills
  • Use computer skills appropriate to position
  • Must have customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards appropriate to position
  • Identifies problems and implements and/or recommends solutions
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Certification & Licensure:

  • Required Driver's License (if applicable)
  • Required ASCP / SCYM (if applicable)
  • Required AMT Medical Technologists (if applicable)
  • Required ASPT Phlebotomy Technicians (if applicable)

Education:

  • Required High School or Equivalent
  • Preferred Technical Science
  • Preferred Associate's

Experience:

  • Required 1 year in related field
  • Preferred 2 years in related field
