Job Description:

Responsible for managing business processes. Responsible for maximizing process efficiency and reducing losses which directly impact Discover's bottom-line. This position requires the candidate to use critical thinking as well as design, develop, and maintain critical processes necessary for the continued success of Card Operations and the company. Develops and coaches teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manages risk within the teams you oversee.

Major Responsibilities
  • Develops and presents relevant information and provide insights to Sr. Management.
  • Manages vendor relationships as applicable to processes including; tracks and controls performance, manages invoicing and perform annual performance reviews.
  • Manages process engineering and optimization of existing and new processes.
  • Manages a team to create a highly effective and collaborative team to deliver optimal results.
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here's what we need from you:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Management, Engineering, Statistics or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in People Management,
  • 2+ years of experience in Project Management with exposure to large scale projects.
  • 8+ years designing and engineering process; experience with large change management efforts or related.
  • In lieu of education 12+ years of experience in Designing and engineering process; experience with large change management efforts or related.
Preferred Qualifications
If we had our say, we'd also look for:
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration and Management, Engineering, Statistics or related field.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Recovery Business including charge off processing, agency and attorney vendor placements, probate, bankruptcy.
  • In-depth knowledge of compliance management, process management requirements, agile way of working, and change management.
  • Experience working with Blueworks live.
  • 5 years of collections and recovery experience including: vendor audit, process mapping, procedure creation, systems knowledge (Casper, Eagle Eye, Debt Manager, ETLs).
  • Team mentorship skills and experience.

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $103,000.00 to $174,200.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
