Senior Accountant with Tech Research Group

Creative Financial Staffing is working with an exciting technology company in Cambridge to identify a Senior Accountant to join their team.
About the Company Seeking a Senior Accountant:
- Born from a partnership between a major university and a publicly traded manufacturer, they conduct research on AI, robotics, and transportation technology
- Focused on collaboration across departments, they host a weekly lunch and learn
- The Finance and Accounting Teams are split between the GL department (where this position sits), AP/Procurement, and FP&A
- Hybrid work schedule
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
- Manage all month-end close processes including:
- Reviewing balance sheet accounts
- Uploading journal entries
- Preparing reconciliations
- Helping pull flux analysis
- Producing reports monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc, as requested
- Acting as the liaison between the Accounting, Finance, and Procurement departments
Background Expected of the Senior Accountant:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, or experience equivalent
- 5+ years in a Staff Accountant role with at least 1 year owning the month-end close
- Experience with Workday is preferred
