Emergency Services Coordinator I/II Are you passionate about public safety, emergency preparedness, and community resilience? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Emergency Services Coordinator I/II to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will support the planning, coordination, and implementation of emergency response and recovery efforts for our community. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the safety and wellbeing of our residents through preparedness initiatives, training programs, and real-time emergency support. Responsibilities Respond to emergency incidents to provide logistical support. Represent the office or the emergency operations center at incidents and local emergency operations centers as the agency representative. Provide a communications link between the incident and the Emergency Operations Center. Apply knowledge of the National Incident Management System, Standard Emergency Management System, and the Incident Command System. Qualifications The ideal candidate is a self?motivated individual who sets high standards, enjoys a collaborative and challenging work environment, and is ready to jump in and assist with any type of project, whether at a desk or in the field. Strong writing skills and the ability to communicate across platforms, both in writing and verbally, are essential. The candidate must think logically, remain calm and decisive under pressure, and maintain a respectful attitude in all situations. This is an entry?level position; a background in emergency management is not required, only the inherent talents and attitude to excel. Education and Experience Emergency Services Coordinator I: Graduation from an accredited four?year college or university with a bachelors degree in emergency management, public safety, business, public administration, or a related field. Emergency Services Coordinator II: Same qualifications as above plus one year of experience at the level of Emergency Services Coordinator I. Additional Requirements Must be able to work after hours, weekends, and endure long shifts including multiple days of shift work during emergencies. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications and are best qualified will be invited to participate in selection activities which may include online assessments, performance exams, written exams, and interviews.
