About the Role:

Everest Group is looking for a Director , Quality Engineering for its Reinsurance applications join our Warren, NJ office. The candidate will lead and manage a team of talented quality engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of reinsurance-related applications, ensure process controls are followed and documented properly for system stability, performance, and functionality.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Lead and manage a team of talented quality engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of reinsurance-related applications
  • Manage the full quality engineering in the software development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and operations to drive quality improvements throughout the SDLC.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing automation, KPIs and metrics, and agile delivery methodologies.
  • Leverage your deep understanding of the insurance / reinsurance industry to contribute valuable insights and domain knowledge to the team.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure software quality, test coverage, and release readiness.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
  • Conduct regular quality reviews, audits, and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and mitigation strategies.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on quality engineering practices, tools, and technologies.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to quality engineering and software testing.


Qualifications, Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in software development, quality engineering.
  • Strong background in the insurance or reinsurance industry, with a deep understanding of products and processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing software quality.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing testing strategy and integrations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Experience in cloud-based development and deployment testing (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Certifications in relevant technologies or project management.
