Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
+ In this role, you will be responsible for the analysis and design of mechanical systems for building components and construction projects.
+ You will provide mechanical design expertise, creating concepts and working collaboratively with team members using software tools such as AutoCAD and REVIT.
+ You will need to have a detailed understanding of multiple disciplines including electrical, mechanical, structural, and information systems, and the ability to apply this knowledge to construction projects.
+ You will also be expected to build and strengthen relationships with clients to advance their projects, and to take pride in your work as a supportive and collaborative team member.
Hard Skills
+ Bachelors in Engineering
+ PE License (preferred)
+ Five years of experience in a related position
+ Ability to operate within software and engineering tools/equipment
+ Mechanical engineering experience within HVAC and plumbing
+ Experience with mechanical engineering design in AutoCAD and Revit
Soft Skills
+ Strong communication skills
+ Ability to mentor and understand others
+ Problem-solving skills in complex situations

Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Des Moines, Iowa and some days remote.
Work Environment
The work environment for this role includes both office and construction site settings. Personal protective equipment, as required, will be provided for site visits, and a valid drivers license is required for travel to and from meetings and job sites. Please be aware that this role involves exposure to job site hazards.
