JOB SUMMARY

As The Basement's Public Relations Associate Manager, you will shape and implement impactful public relations campaigns alongside our Communications and Client Service teams. You will serve as a strategic expert for clients and the agency, reviewing and recommending innovative approaches to campaigns, programs, publicity activities, and associated relationships. Collaborating closely with the rest of the Communications team, you?ll provide feedback and guidance, contributing to the success of our clients and our agency. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic planning, creation, and implementation of public relations campaigns and programs across a portfolio of clients using all appropriate media and communications channels
  • Consult on and create publicity, stakeholder communication, crisis communication, social media, and media releases coordinated by the agency for clients and/or agency
  • Identify and develop PR strategies with the Client Services team and provide ongoing support for current clients
  • Build and maintain positive, productive relationships focused on leveraging communications strategies to deliver business value on behalf of clients and agency
  • Support internal committees with content creation styles and platform strategies, bringing your unique POV into the mix
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, using data to inform decision-making and optimize campaign effectiveness 
  • Demonstrate effective decision-making skills when faced with a problem, including the ability to creatively evaluate situations calmly and identify solutions to benefit all parties
  • Desire to take advantage of and seek out learning opportunities to gain insight and experience in an ever-changing, digital environment
  • Possess strong attention to detail, initiative, stellar organizational skills, and the need to over-communicate and be highly collaborative
  • Possess a passion for creativity, innovation, and a commitment to delivering results for clients 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in communication, journalism, public relations or related field
  • 4-7 years of public relations or communications experience
  • 2+ years of cross-functional experience with client-focused teams
  • Strong problem-solving and planning skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Capability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Finesse to take direction/feedback
  • Ability to work independently and thrive within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
