Responsibilities As a Supervisory Budget Analyst, at the full performance level you will perform the following duties: Preparing apportionments, allocating direct and reimbursable funds to programs, tracking obligations, and comparing to operating budget, and monitoring the budget and accounting system and analyzing reports. Reviewing daily status of funds, analyzing execution of funds, ensuring that budget documents form the proper foundation for budget limitations imposed by Congress or other authority as they relate to program execution and reporting, and financial management controls. Interpreting budgetary policies, congressional legislation, Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policies and precedents, Executive orders, and applicable regulatory guidelines and directives within and across agency lines affecting the financing and accomplishment of major programs and provide long-range analysis of the potential effects of budgetary actions on national economic, social, and political objectives. Providing advice to management on the Federal budget processes, interprets, and assesses the impact of new and revised congressional legislation on the formulation and execution of assigned program budgets. Leading a professional staff, assessing performance, overseeing goal setting, and providing feedback on personal and professional development. You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Preparing apportionments and processing Interagency Agreements for compliance; Analyzing and evaluating changes in plans and funding, and the effect on budget milestones. Responding to requests for budget information from external auditors. Worked in financial management systems and understands accounting code structure.
