Description
The outpatient infusion nurse has knowledge of Oncology, chemotherapy administration, side effects, infusion therapy, blood product administration, pain management, knowledge and skills with port-a-caths and all venous access devices. The infusion nurse applies the nursing process in direct patient care and coordinates the interdisciplinary team to intervene according to assessment findings.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within 3 years of hire or equivalent educ/experience.
A RN with 20 years of RN experience will not be required to obtain a BSN.
California Registered Nurse License upon hire
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
Current ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Provider card upon hire, or will obtain within first 4 weeks of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) within 2 years of hire
2 years Nursing
2 years Oncology experience
