The RIS is responsible for maintaining donor records, electronic medical record entry, and communication in conjunction with Donor Family and Advocate Services. For potential organ donors, the RIS is occasionally responsible for facilitating family conversation regarding donation, in collaboration with the ORC and DFA staff if available. This includes collaborating with hospital staff to determine appropriate timing for family counseling and conversation.Assists in the eye and tissue referral process as related to heart beating ventilated donors.Interacts with hospital staff members in a professional manner to obtain thorough and accurate medical information regarding the potential donor.Requirements:1-2 years of experience as an EMT-P, LPN, RT, medical scribe, or previous OPO experience1 year medical terminology experiencePreferred EducationEMT-P, LPN or RT licenseAssociate or Bachelor's Degree or relevant medical certificationPreferred Experience1-2 years of OPO experienceDonor Network of Arizona is a drug free workplace
